new stance in the pro-life debate

Note: read this whole post before drawing conclusions!
Well we had a chapel speaker today who spoke about abortion. He really made me think a lot and so I have come up with my firm stance on abortion. All these years I have been wrong. I need to stop and just let a women have their right to choose. Furthermore I think every prolife/ right wing zealot needs to sit down and stop trying to force their views on women after all women have the right to choose. What right have we to stop a women from choosing. I believe we have all been wrong all thees years and I will work hard to stop all pro-life movements if scientifically someone can prove to me that a fetus is not a human. You see I do believe women have a right to choose. Women have a right to choose what man they date, what man they marry, where they live, what kind of car they drive, what school they go to, what job they get.
I got this argument from Scott Klusendorf. This is a prolife activist. He believes Christians have gotten a lot of things wrong. He began a debate at a secular campus against a prominent pro-abort with this type of speech. What does this do? It focus the debate to one question is an infant a human. The thing is no one can prove scientifically that a fetus is not human. In fact most of the evidence supports that they are. He shared with us a useful word to remember this. Babies are the same as us except for four things and that is SLED, size, level of development, environment, and degree of dependency. If we think about this logically than it follows that men are more valuable than women because they are bigger. Secondly a twelve year old is more valuable than a four year old because he is more developed. Third when you move from outside to inside do you change? Of course not you are the same person your surroundings simply changed. Finally if we measure by degree of dependency than all those on kidney machines are less valuable than those of us that are not. These arguments simply do not make sense. It was a neat message. It was powerful to force me to think about what the true issue in abortion is. The issue we need to focus on is whether a baby is a human or not. This is vital in our debate. Christians need to engage the world with the truth. When we do we see results. This man has debated major pro-choice activists across the country. He has been able to share with others more about the truth. One of the best stories he shared with us was after he debated in Iowa sharing the scientific facts about life a women came up and talked to him. This women simply said "your a man". Without thinking he immeadiatly shot back "how do you know". At that point he said he shocked even himself but he went on with it. She replied"cause your dressed like one".
"Maybe I am a cross dresser"
"You look like one"
"Maybe I had a gender change"
"You have a deep voice"
"So do a lot of women"
He shared that often when he has argued logically proaborts have nothing to say but attacking who he is. That attack is not valid because who he is does not change the facts but also who women say the smae things. I higly encourage listening to this man if you ever get the opportunity. He is enjoyable and has a lot of good truth to share!
