school

First let me talk about chapel this week. Al Capone's cousin has been our speaker. I thought he was joking when he first told us that, but he really was. He talked a little bit about that and how grateful he was that God saved him from that. He was here to talk about moral purity and spoke the first two days from 1 Thessalonias 4:3-8. One thing that he said that made me think was "we talk about what God calls us to do all the time, but I think from this passage we know with more certainty that God has called us to be morally pure than that God has called you to have your chosen career." He challenged each of us to read that passage 40 times in the next week because "once you do something 40 times it is yours for life". Today he discussed how God can purify those who have fallen and can keep us from falling. He discussed the importance of scripture memory but had a unique (in my opinion) approach to it. He said that all of us can memorize things. We prove that by memorizing commercials and movies. So maybe we need to change our approach. He suggested memorizing verses while brushing your teeth. We all do it "you have probably even read your tooth paste box more than once because what else are you going to do while brushing your teeth". So there you go all you southsiders still in the scripture memory program. Hang up your verses on the bathroom mirror!

Well what else... I am without a roomate this semester. Holly decided to live at home this semester to save money. It is different but I still see her a lot.
My classes are going really well. It is my "pre-professional semester". In the fall I will be a student teacher so that means I will enter the "professional" world. Therefore a lot of my class work is preparing me for that world. There are so many requirements and it is going to be tough but it will be so much fun!
Well that is about all for now...
